First off, thanks for reading! My name is Katie Madelyn Bowes, and I created this blog to document my travels. At first, the blog was only to track my adventures throughout Thailand in the summer of 2015.  This summer, 2016, I've somehow landed in middle-of-nowhere Alaska to research breeding and nesting ecology of Common Goldeneye ducks.

 

Every time I travel, I learn a little bit more about myself and chip away at answering the question, "Who am I?" To be honest, I hope I never find out. I hope to be challenged every day, to question who I am and to be adaptable to any environment I may encounter.
